Crime update in relation to a video shared on social media

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch about our investigation into the assault of a teenage boy in Milton Keynes last week.

Yesterday evening officers arrested two teenage boys in connection with the incident on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm.

 

Officers were aware of a video circulating on social media connected to this incident. It showed an injured teenage boy who had had his clothes taken from him and who had been assaulted. 

Investigating officer,  Police Constable Nathan Brandon-Bravo from the Emergency Response Team at Milton Keynes said: “I am appealing for information following an assault that took place on Thursday 7 September at around 4pm near Nuneham Grove, Westcroft, where a boy has been assaulted by two others.

"I want to thank the members of the public who have already come forward to report this incident. And I will ask that anyone who has this video does not share it.” 

The victim of the assault, a 14 year-old-boy is currently being supported by officers

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has information about it is urged to call the investigation team via 101, quoting urn 469 9/9. Or they can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
