Advice for motorists

Alert message sent 09/11/2018 13:59:00

Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

There have been several reports across the Bracknell and Wokingham Local Policing Area of thefts from motor vehicles, where the steering wheel, dashboard and centre console have been removed from vehicles.

These reports have involved BMW M Sport models dated between 2014 and 2018.

To help protect your vehicle, we recommend:

•  Storing your car in a garage

•  Getting CCTV installed that covers your driveway or a dash cam fitted in your car.

•  Securing your steering wheel with a steering wheel lock.
