Information sent on behalf of Thames Valley Police

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information following a distraction burglary that took place sometime between 12pm and 1pm on Thursday (8/11) in a property on Fox Road.

Two offenders engaged the victim, a 75-year-old man, by claiming to be from the water board. They said they were working in a neighbouring property following a flood and needed to check the victim’s water pressure.

One of the offenders took the victim into the kitchen. Shortly afterwards the second offender called out to say that everything was ok now and to turn the water back on.

The victim later discovered that a quantity of cash had been stolen from his home after the offenders had left the property.

The first offender is described as a white man, around 5ft 6ins and of slim build. He was wearing a dark jacket.

The second offender is described as a white man who was also wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer, PC Sarah Tidball based at Slough police station, said: “I would like to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or can provide further information about the offender, that may assist this investigation to call 101 quoting reference '43180341771'.
